Dave Kochamba, CFP®

Dave joined Homrich Berg in 2012 after spending over five years in the banking industry. He previously worked in private banking and risk management roles. He is a Principal of the firm and currently serves a diverse client base consisting of working professionals, retirees, and corporate executives.

Dave received a Bachelor of Arts from Clemson University. He completed the University of Georgia’s Executive Program for Financial Planning Certification in 2011 and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

He is engaged in the local community and served as the co-chair of the Trinity Early Learning Center Parents’ Council, volunteered as a Smyrna T-Ball assistant coach, and led Sunday school at Peachtree Presbyterian Church’s Children’s Program. He is active in alumni relations with Clemson University’s chapter of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and coordinates their annual golf outing of 100 players on alumni weekend each fall.

Dave enjoys playing golf, attending Clemson football games, following the Atlanta Braves, and spending time with his family at the beach.

Mike Landsberg, CPA, CFP®, CPWA, PFS

Mike joined Homrich Berg in early 2013 and is a Principal of the firm. He works with a wide range of high-net-worth clients, specializing in sophisticated investments, tax planning, estate planning, and philanthropy. He spent three years in investment management and tax planning at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Chicago, IL.

Mike received his B.A. in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and went on to earn a Master of Taxation from Arizona State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designee, a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS™), and holds the Claritas Investment Certificate from the CFA Institute. Mike is also a 2020 graduate of the Schwab Executive Leadership Program.

Mike serves as a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants – Personal Financial Planning Division (AICPA PFP) and the Georgia Society of CPAs. He sits on the board of Ur Worth It! as Finance Chair and was selected to the AICPA PFP Executive Leadership Committee. He also volunteers as a Financial Coach for the Catholic Charities of Atlanta.

Mike resides in Buckhead with his wife, Mina, and their sons, Oliver and Oscar. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, traveling, visiting with family, and watching Notre Dame football games.

Jeff Rosengarten, CFP®

Jeff joined Homrich Berg in 2011 after interning with the firm.

Jeff earned two Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Financial Planning from the University of Georgia. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and serves as the firm’s expert on social security and annuities.

An active member in the community, Jeff is a member of Temple Sinai and recently served on the Board of Trustees and currently serves on the Endowment Investment Committee. Jeff also serves on the board of the Atlanta Tax Forum and recently served on the University of Georgia Financial Planning Alumni Board.

Jeff lives in Sandy Springs with his wife, Alexis, and their twin boys, Ari and Julian.

Mike Stanford

Mike joined Homrich Berg in 2009 and serves as a Director. In addition to developing client relationships, Mike serves as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, focusing on tactical allocations and guiding investments in Master Limited Partnerships, Specialty Finance, and Hedged Equity sectors.

Prior to HB, Mike had an eight-year career with Goldman Sachs, where he most recently served as a Vice President for the Atlanta Private Wealth Management Office. While at Goldman Sachs, Mike directed client relationships for individuals, families, foundations and trusts throughout the Southeast specializing in executive compensation, post-transaction planning, wealth transfer strategies, and portfolio management for an asset base in excess of $1.6 billion.

Mike graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology as a scholarship athlete in baseball with an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering. In 2001 he received his M.B.A. from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University where he graduated as a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society.

An active member of the community, Mike serves on the Board of Directors for the Technology Association of Georgia Finance Society and is the Finance Director of the Alpharetta Youth Softball Association. Previously, Mike has served in leadership positions and actively supports local charitable organizations Tee it up Fore Kids, CURE Childhood Cancer, and Canine Assistants.

Mike lives in Jupiter, FL with his wife.

Gene Brooks, CFP®

Gene is a Principal and Team Lead in the firm’s HB Family Office group. He has 11 years of experience serving high-net-worth individuals, families, and foundations, 10 of which have been with Homrich Berg. He advises clients on all aspects of their financial plans but has a particular interest in complex estate planning.

Gene graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Scheller College of Business with Highest Honors and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a certificate in Marketing. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

A native Atlantan, Gene lives in Brookhaven with his wife (Becca), young son (Gene IV), daughter (Vivian), and Labradoodle (Hamilton). In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, attending Georgia Tech games, traveling, and fly fishing.

Trent Arnone, CFP®

Trent joined Homrich Berg in January 2017 and is currently a Director. In this role, he and his team work with a diverse client base consisting of working professionals, retirees, and corporate executives. Through collaboration and comprehensive planning, he works alongside his clients to help them achieve their financial goals.

Before HB, Trent spent two years with Fort Washington Investment Advisors in Cincinnati. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Cincinnati and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Trent is an active member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (“NAPFA”), a professional association of Fee-Only financial advisors. He co-leads NAPFA’s Atlanta Study Group and serves as membership chair on the south region board.

In his spare time, Trent enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and rooting for the Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bearcats. He lives with his wife, daughter, and dog in Smyrna.

Margo Bryk

Margo joined Homrich Berg in April 2008. She is currently a Director of the firm and is responsible for assisting clients in every facet of their financial situation from investment and tax issues to long-term projections and estate analysis. She began her career with the financial services group of American Express providing financial planning and investment advice to individuals. Upon relocating to Atlanta in 1994, she worked at Creative Financial Group as a planning assistant for 14 years.

Margo received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a concentration in Statistics from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Away from work, she enjoys playing tennis, is an avid reader, and is a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves. She and her husband (Eric) have three children.

Julian Davis, CPA, CFP®

Julian joined Homrich Berg in October 2015. He and his team work with their clients to help them achieve their financial goals through cash flow management, investing, and planning. His intimate knowledge of clients’ situations and of the financial planning process allows him to be proactive in identifying solutions for them while also being responsive to their various financial needs as they arise. In addition to his role serving clients, Julian was the founding chairperson of HB’s DEI Committee, and he continues to be deeply involved in the firm’s efforts to create an inclusive environment to better serve our broader community.

Previously, he spent five years with EY in Atlanta. There he worked in the Assurance and Tax service lines. He also held leadership roles in EY’s flagship education corporate responsibility initiative.

Julian earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Morehouse College and went on to receive his Master’s in Accounting from the University of Virginia. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is a member of the Association of African-American Financial Advisors, and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Julian participates in volunteer events throughout Atlanta including pro-bono financial planning events and coaching little league sports.

Julian was recognized as a 2023 Association of African American Financial Advisors (AAAA) 50 Under 50 nominee. He was also recognized as a 2022 Top 40 Under 40 honoree by InvestmentNews. He was chosen from a pool of more than 600 nominees by a panel of reporters, editors, and other representatives of InvestmentNews, earning a spot on the final list of 40 talented individuals.

In his spare time, Julian enjoys spending time with friends and family, including his wife and two young children, rooting on the hometown teams, and traveling.

Jarrod Freeman, CFP®, BFA™

Jarrod is a tenured advisor who fosters confidence in your financial freedom. He believes that your advisor relationship shouldn’t be transactional; finances are deeply personal, so he takes care to offer a holistic approach tailored to your current situation and long-term goals. Jarrod and his team specialize in keeping complex situations digestible and discussions conversational. With a decade of expertise, he has advised a wide breadth of client relationships, including experience supporting clients who are widowed, newly divorced, of blended families, or who have family members with disabilities.

Jarrod joined Homrich Berg in January 2016. He attended Virginia Tech, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Applied Economic Management with a focus in Financial Planning and a minor in Business. Formerly a member of the Financial Planning Association of Georgia Board of Directors, he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a certified Behavioral Financial Advisor™.

In his free time, Jarrod enjoys writing and playing music as a proud college a cappella alumni, playing golf and tennis, reading history novels, and increasing his indoor and outdoor plant collection. When he’s out of office, you’ll likely find Jarrod exploring vineyards around the world with his wife as they expand their wine collection (and hopefully pursue the Certified Sommelier designation).

Greg Herbert, CFP®, BFA™

Greg joined Homrich Berg in June 2015 after relocating from Southwest Michigan. Before joining HB, he spent over four years with a Platinum Franchise of Ameriprise Financial providing holistic financial planning.

Greg received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a Finance concentration from Western Michigan University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional after passing the exam in 2014 and holds the Behavioral Financial Advisor (BFA™) designation. He is an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Georgia and has volunteered for the organization at numerous pro-bono financial planning events throughout Atlanta.

Greg enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family in his spare time.

Kossandra McDuffie, CPA, CFP®

Kossandra joined Homrich Berg in 2017. She and her team work with a diverse client base, including working professionals, retirees, doctors, professional athletes, and more. She provides comprehensive wealth management and investment planning to help clients achieve their financial goals. In addition to her role serving clients, Kossandra is the current Chair of HB’s DEI Committee and enjoys fostering the inclusive environment at HB.

Before HB, Kossandra spent three years as a Controller working with payroll, benefits, and general accounting. Prior to that, she spent four years with EY in Atlanta in the Assurance service line.  Kossandra received her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Accounting from North Carolina State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She completed the University of Georgia’s Executive Program for Financial Planning Certification in 2016.

In her spare time, Kossandra enjoys playing with her dogs, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Robin Aiken, CFP®

Named as one of Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors since 2020 and Forbes Best-In-State Atlanta high net worth advisors since 2021, Robin is a Principal who joined Homrich Berg in 2005 after working with an independent financial planning firm for eight years. She has over 25 years of wealth management experience. She uses her expertise and knowledge to help individuals and families achieve their financial goals. A graduate of the Charitable Estate Planning Institute and the Atlanta Philanthropic Advisor Leadership Institute, Robin is a leader of the firm’s charitable planning practice.

Robin is actively involved in the Atlanta community, especially in the areas of greenspace and the arts where she has served on numerous boards. She has also served as a Co-Chair of the Landmark Luncheon, the largest fundraising event for the Piedmont Park Conservancy.

Robin became a sustaining member of the Junior League of Atlanta after spending several years volunteering to help the League raise money and/or improve the services offered by numerous local community organizations.  As a sustaining member, Robin served as a Trustee of the Junior League of Atlanta’s Endowment Fund.
