Josh Rowe, CFA, PhD

Josh joined HB Wealth in January 2025 as a Principal after working with WMS Partners for the past six years, where he was most recently Co-CIO. As Managing Director, Research & Family Office Investment Strategy, he helps guide HB’s research in macroeconomics as well as public and private markets. In addition to investment manager research, Josh is involved in asset allocation and long-term investment strategy, particularly as these relate to the needs of complex, multi-generational families. He is also a member of the investment committee.

Before joining HB, he worked at a multi-family office in Washington, D.C., and an asset management firm in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Josh studied History and French at Johns Hopkins University before earning a PhD from Princeton University in Economic History. He is a member of the Baltimore chapter of the CFA Society and teaches an investing class at Johns Hopkins.

Josh enjoys the ocean and the mountains as well as international travel. For fun, he reads travelogues and big, heavy history books.

Chantelle Calhoun

Chantelle joined Homrich Berg in June 2022. She works with the client service teams to assist with money movement, account paperwork, and meeting preparations. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her son and watching Pittsburgh Steelers football.

Megan A. Cashman

Megan joined Homrich Berg in July 2024 as a Client Service Operations Specialist within the HB Family Office division. She works with the client service teams to assist with money movement, account paperwork, and meeting preparations.

Before joining HB, Megan worked for the Performing Arts Center at the University of Georgia for three years while attending college. In this position, she ensured all donors of the Center received top-notch service and a satisfactory experience.

Megan pursued two majors, Communication Studies and Sociology, at the University of Georgia, which she finished in less than four years and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
In her free time, Megan enjoys outdoor activities with her family, such as hiking and playing with their dog. She also spends her time reading books and watching heist movies.

Thomas Carroll, CFP®

Thomas is President and CEO at Homrich Berg. Thomas added the role of CEO after a well-planned leadership transition where he served as President for four years. In his role as President, he served as a key member of executive management, leading a number of growth and client service initiatives. Thomas has an extensive background in wealth management both as an advisor to clients and as a leader of client service organizations. He believes in HB’s core values and the unwavering focus on delivering high-touch, fiduciary fee-only client service to HB clients on all the important financial issues they face in their lives.

Prior to joining HB, Thomas was most recently the head of Division Wealth Management for SunTrust Bank.  In that role, he managed all of the core private wealth management sales and client service activities on a national basis across nine SunTrust divisions. Prior to this role, Thomas was the Chief Executive Officer of GenSpring Family Offices, the multi-family office subsidiary of SunTrust Bank, which provides independent advice to ultra-high-net-worth families.  Before joining GenSpring, Thomas served as the Head of the Sports & Entertainment Specialty Group for SunTrust. In that capacity, Thomas managed a group of advisors who provided private wealth management services to sports and entertainment professionals. Prior to managing the Sports & Entertainment Specialty Group, Thomas was the wealth services manager for the Atlanta region. Thomas has spent his entire career in the wealth management industry and was an advisor managing high-net-worth client relationships before transitioning into his leadership roles.

A native of Atlanta, Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Wake Forest University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He is active in the community, currently serving as a member of the Charles Schwab Advisor Services Advisory Board, on the Wake Forest Athletics Advisory Council, on the Leadership Council of Zoo Atlanta, and as an Advisory Board member for The UHNW Institute, and as a member of the BNY Pershing Wealth Executive Board. He has previously served on the Emory University Board of Visitors as well as the Board of Trustees for the Atlanta Sports Council, the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, the Atlanta Children’s Shelter, the Atlanta Police Foundation, Young Harris College and as a Lay Leader for Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.

Thomas is married to Susan, and they have three children, Eleanor, Hayes, and Ben.

Nick Brink, CFP®

Nick joined Homrich Berg in January 2023 as an Associate, bringing with him valuable experience as an Operations Analyst at another firm in the Atlanta area. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Nick is dedicated to helping clients craft personalized financial plans and guide them through the execution of their long-term goals.

Nick earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2019 and completed the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business – Executive Program in Financial Planning in 2022.

A native of Atlanta, Nick enjoys spending his free time running, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Lisa Chambers-Head

Lisa joined Homrich Berg in April 2024. She works with the client service teams to assist with money movement, account paperwork, and meeting preparations. Lisa has over 18 years of combined retail and private wealth banking expertise. Before HB, she worked for 11 years at SunTrust Bank (now Truist) in various roles.

Lisa studied Business Management at DeVry Institute. She is a volunteer with Junior Achievement of Georgia.

She currently lives in Tucker with her husband and toddler, and she has three adult children. In her free time, she loves to experiment in the kitchen and travel.

David Echard

David joined Homrich Berg’s IT department in early 2021. Before starting his IT career at HB, David worked for several years in the industrial HVAC industry. While working in HVAC, he earned a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University.

David lives in the Gainesville area, where he leads Younglife at Buford High School. When he has down time, David enjoys going to the movie theater, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and learning.

Rachel Engwall

Rachel joined Homrich Berg in May 2023 and serves as a Specialist within Client Service Operations. She is responsible for resolving client inquiries, assisting advisors and managers, preparing and processing account applications, preparing client reports, tracking client transfers and purchases, organizing and tracking action items along with other duties assigned.

Prior to joining HB, she was a teacher for six years. Rachel received her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Georgia State University. She has been a coach for Girls on the Run.

Rachel currently lives in Decatur, GA and enjoys walking the Beltline with her dog, trying new restaurants, and going line dancing with friends.

Drew LaGrande, J.D., LL.M.

Drew joined Homrich Berg in September 2024 as a Managing Director and Family Wealth Specialist in the HB Family Office division. He brings over 20 years of experience advising ultra-high-net-worth families on comprehensive wealth management. Drew’s role involves tailoring advice based on each client’s unique lifestyle and legacy goals to address both family-wide and individual needs. Utilizing HB’s holistic approach, Drew ensures effective planning by offering ongoing, personalized support in areas such as tax-efficient wealth transfers, business and estate planning, and asset protection.

Drew began his career as an estate planning attorney with Nelson & Nelson, PA in North Miami Beach, FL, where he provided counsel on states, trusts, trust and probate administration, tax planning, business succession, asset protection, and planned giving. He later returned to Tampa/St. Petersburg area to join Gassman, Crotty & Denicolo, PA, where he focused on tax planning and asset protection. Drew then moved his practice to Akerman Senterfitt, becoming a partner in the trusts and estates department in 2008.

In 2012, Drew transitioned to PNC Family Wealth as a Senior Wealth Planner, continuing in similar roles with GenSpring SunTrust Private Wealth and Truist Wealth before joining HB. He discovered that by thoroughly listening to clients and understanding their goals and objectives, their advisory teams could create and implement plans that clients understood and appreciated.
Drew is a member of the Florida Bar Association (Real Property and Probate Tax sections) and has contributed to several publications as an author and editor on various planning topics.
He and his wife have two adult children and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and hiking.

Randy Schultz

Randy joined Homrich Berg in 2021 as VP of Operations. He leads a significant portion of HB’s middle and back office functions responsible for accurate and efficient execution of the wealth management plans created by our clients and their advisors.

Prior to joining HB, Randy spent over 10 years with The Home Depot, during which he led teams responsible for workforce planning/management and sales operations with a focus on analytics and technology enablement. He has a passion for services operations management and enjoys both the optimization and “people” elements of the field.

Randy earned a BS in Management with Highest Honors from Georgia Tech in 2008.  He lives in Smyrna with his wife Emily and their four children Oliver, Ellie, Theo, and Ruth.  In his spare time, Randy enjoys outdoor activities with his family as well as reading and woodworking.

Emily Bentley

Emily Bentley is a Principal and helps lead the HB Family Office.  She works with ultra-high-net-worth families to manage the responsibilities and opportunities of their wealth.  Emily also drives the strategy for HB Family Office, ensuring that the team and platform are optimized to provide the most value for clients.

Before joining HB, Emily was an Executive Director at JP Morgan responsible for delivering the firm’s investment, wealth transfer, credit, and philanthropic services to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, endowments, and foundations throughout the Southeast region. She spent 10 years at JP Morgan, including several as an Investment Specialist in New York overseeing the construction, implementation, and oversight of client portfolios. Prior to JP Morgan, Emily spent seven years with SunTrust Robinson Humphrey’s Financial Institutions investment banking practice where she advised community banks and specialty finance companies on mergers & acquisitions as well as raising debt and equity capital.

As an Atlanta native, Emily graduated from Westminster.  She went on to graduate Phi Beta Kappa from Emory University with a B.A. in Economics and received her MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.

Jamie Hennessy, ACA

Jamie joined Homrich Berg in 2021 as Chief Financial Officer and is a Principal of the firm. He leads the firm’s accounting, finance and reporting functions, as well as oversees the company’s data analytics efforts.

Prior to joining Homrich Berg, Jamie most recently served as Chief Financial Officer at Wentworth Management Services, an aggregator of companies in the Wealth Management space and prior to that served as Controller of Private Wealth Management at SunTrust, now Truist. Jamie started his career in public accounting at Grant Thornton where he spent 10 years in audit serving clients in a multitude of sectors in the UK, Australia and finally Atlanta.

Jamie received a MPharmacol (first class) from the University of Bath, UK in 2008 and became a member of the Institute for Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) in 2011. He lives in the Brookhaven with his wife, daughter, and son.  In his spare time he loves to both travel and play golf.
