LaToyia has 18 years of experience in the financial industry and handles the important day-to-day processes and controls related to client bill pay and accounts payable for HB. She previously worked in banking for 12 years at Discover Card and SunTrust Bank. She has a background in collections, reconciliation, process improvement, project management, complaint management, and accounts payable.
Kory Gildea, CFP®
Kory joined Homrich Berg in July of 2019 after previously completing an internship with the company. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Finance from the Terry School of Business. Kory completed the Boston Institute of Finance – Bryant University Financial Planning Program in December of 2019 and has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional since February 2022.
Kory lives in Brookhaven with his wife. In his free time, he enjoys going to concerts, playing sports, traveling, and watching the University of Georgia Football team win National Championships.
Evan Byers, CFA, CFP®, CAIA
Evan currently serves as a Principal in the firm’s HB Family Office & Institutional Services division. He offers clients more than 13 years of comprehensive wealth management experience, serving as an advisor to institutions, non-profit organizations, and high-net-worth individuals (including multi-generational family offices, corporate executives, and entrepreneurs). Prior to joining HB, Evan was an Investment Strategist for SunTrust Bank. In that role, he managed client portfolios for both ultra-high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. Prior to this role, Evan served as an Investment Associate at GenSpring Family Offices, SunTrust’s multi-family office subsidiary, which provides independent advice to ultra-high net worth families.
Evan holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree from Xavier University. He is also a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Evan maintains a volunteer position with InheritGA – The Georgia Trust for Historical Preservation and enjoys spending time participating in various financial literacy initiatives sponsored by the CFA Society of Atlanta. He lives with his wife (Paige), son (Baer), and their nine-year-old Goldendoodle (Jax) in Buckhead.
Courtney Christy
Courtney joined Homrich Berg in September 2019 and is currently a Manager within Client Service Operations. Prior to joining Homrich Berg, Courtney worked at Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty as a Finance Associate and Closing Supervisor for over three years. She graduated with a B.A. in Human Resource Management from AIU in 2013. She works with the client service teams to assist with money movement, account paperwork, and meeting preparations.
Courtney lives in Hoschton with her husband (Blake), their son, and two dogs. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being outdoors.
Sean Cook
Sean Cook has served as an advisor and executive in wealth management for over 23 years. He previously served as the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Cedar Rowe Partners (CRP) which later merged with Homrich Berg. CRP grew five-fold under his leadership and was ranked as one of the top 300 independent wealth advisory firms in the US by the Financial Times in 2018. Under his leadership, the firm developed and managed a proprietary hedge fund-of-funds, wealth simulation tools and customized reporting solutions for clients. CRP also provided outsourced reporting and investment consulting service to peer advisors. Sean served for four years on Schwab Institutional’ s Technology Operations and Service Advisor Board.
Sean has a highly varied professional services background. Prior to his career in wealth management, he held management consulting roles with Deloitte Consulting and Index Consulting (later CSC Index), focusing in areas such as financial management, organizational design and business process innovation. At Deloitte, Sean was selected to the Manager’s Advisory Council which provided internal consulting advice to Deloitte’s chairman. He also served as a strategy consultant for Cresap Consulting (now Towers Watson) and held programming and technology integration roles with Hewlett Packard and SMS Data Products, where he supported the Research and Statistics Department of the United States Federal Reserve.
Sean earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina where he graduated magna cum laude with a dual major in finance and management science. At Tuck, Sean was selected as one of six Tuck Tycoon’s and was elected as Tuck’s representative to the Dartmouth student government. While at the University of South Carolina he was elected to membership in The Phi Beta Kappa Society, served on the Student Judicial Council and was honored as the school’s “Most Outstanding Business Student”. Sean was an NCAA Division 1 scholarship athlete (soccer) and tutored fellow athletes in business courses.
Sean grew up in suburban Washington, DC and now resides in Johns Creek with his wife, Julia. Their three children are now in college or have graduated. He and Julia have been active members of Perimeter Church for 25 years. Sean has previously served on the boards of Good Samaritan Health Clinic and Perimeter School of Ballet. He enjoys endurance sports and has completed the Boston, Virgina Beach (Shamrock), and Washington DC (Marine Corps) marathons. He played rugby at Dartmouth.
Lauren Forster, CPA
Lauren Forster joined Homrich Berg in December 2019. Lauren is a financial planner working with high-net-worth individuals to achieve their financial goals. Lauren helps clients to be able to make better, more well-informed financial decisions. Lauren is versed in the areas of retirement and cash flow planning, asset allocation, estate planning, wealth transfer, and legacy planning. Lauren spends time understanding client’s goals and objectives, analyzing their current situation, and providing observations, feedback, and education on areas for improvement.
Prior to joining HB, Lauren was a financial advisor for Cedar Rowe Partners. Before Cedar Rowe Partners, she spent seven years as a Wealth Planner at Wells Fargo Private Bank creating and implementing customized wealth plans for high-net-worth individuals and their families. Lauren also spent over two years as a senior tax accountant with Ernst & Young, LLP.
Lauren has her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting, with a specialization in taxation, from the University of Florida. Lauren holds her Certified Public Accountant license in Georgia.
Lauren enjoys a robust family life with her husband, Chad, and three children—Grant, Ben, and Isabelle.
Sharon Snyder, CFP®
Sharon joined Homrich Berg in 2015. Prior to joining HB she spent 13 years with Creative Financial Group as a Financial Planning Analyst. In her role at CFG, she assisted advisors in managing client relationships. She prepared materials for new and existing client meetings which included portfolio allocations, tax and retirement projections, financial statements, education and insurance analysis.
Sharon is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Florida State University graduate. She is a member of North Point Community Church. In her free time she enjoys the beach, travel, family and volunteering. Volunteering has taken her to the Middle East and Africa where she worked in rural communities that serve vulnerable and at risk children.
Ashley Tucker, CFP®
Ashley joined Homrich Berg in 2010. Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate from the University of South Carolina, where she was also a member of the two-time National Champion Equestrian team. Ashley also successfully completed the Emory University Financial Planning Certificate Program and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, sons and rescue dog, Gamecock football, and is a member of the Junior League of Atlanta and Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.
Brigid Cochran
Brigid joined Homrich Berg in 2006 and serves as a Senior Manager for Complex Transactions in the firm’s Investment Department. Brigid is responsible for portfolio maintenance and performance reporting as well as day-to-day accounting and administrative workflows for multiple internal fund of funds. She also performs trading duties on an as-needed basis. Brigid serves on several in-house committees, overseeing procedures to further institutionalize the firm.
Brigid earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Mercer University. While in college she was an active member of the Alpha Iota chapter of Phi Mu. Before working at Homrich Berg, Brigid worked as a Communications Specialist with Coca-Cola.
In her free time, Brigid enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as event planning.
Krista Koch
Krista joined Homrich Berg in 2004 and serves as a Senior Manager for Fund Administration in the firm’s investment department. She manages the day-to-day accounting and administrative workflows for several internal fund of funds Krista is responsible for reviewing and maintaining records of investment transactions, managing and disseminating investor communications, as well as coordinating any regulatory filings. She also assists with valuations for HB’s internal partnerships and is a member of the Private Alternatives Committee, overseeing procedures to further institutionalize the alternative investments process.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and living Intown.
Adam Shealy, CFA
Adam joined HB in June 2015 and is currently Director, Fixed Income within the Investment department, managing the trading and portfolio management for individual bond strategies, as well as research and due diligence for external fixed income managers.
Adam earned his MBA in Global Business from Georgia Tech and is a member of the CFA Institute. Before joining HB, he worked as a Platinum Executive Services Specialist with E*Trade Securities.
Adam lives in East Cobb with his wife, Christine, two kids, Graham and Sutton, and he enjoys golf and powerlifting in his spare time.
Corey Beezhold
Corey joined Homrich Berg in April 2017 as a Senior Trader. Prior to joining HB, he spent over 5 years at a local institutional investment management firm in the Atlanta area, beginning his tenure in the Trade Operations group, before moving to the trading desk as an Equity Trader. Corey attended the University of Florida, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, and watching football.
