Tim joined Homrich Berg as Director of Advanced Tax Planning and Family Office Services in January 2025. He will focus on the development, delivery and continuous refinement of the firm’s holistic wealth advisory and family office solutions. As a subject matter specialist collaborating throughout HB’s footprint, he is responsible for strengthening our advisor community through professional collaboration, leveraging best practices, and developing and supporting bespoke planning solutions to meet the diverse and unique needs of HB Family Office client families.

Before joining HB, Tim founded and led both the Pathstone and GenSpring Family Office national Wealth Advisory Centers, where he was responsible for the firm-wide development, delivery, and support of all Family Office client solutions. Throughout those tenures, he held numerous leadership roles, including serving on both organization’s Senior Leadership Teams, on GenSpring’s Board of Directors, as its Chief Fiduciary Officer, and as a Board Member of its affiliated SunTrust Delaware Trust and Teton Trust Companies.

He launched his career as a tax professional with Arthur Andersen, LLP, serving on its U.S. Product Development and Family Wealth Planning specialty teams. There, he worked in the design, development, and implementation of proprietary financial products and tax strategies for affluent private clients and family offices.

Tim graduated magna cum laude from Centenary College with a B.S. in Accounting and Business and earned his J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law. He is a licensed attorney, Certified Public Accountant and has held several securities and life insurance-related licenses and certifications. He is a long-time member of the American Bar Association, serving on multiple tax and estate planning sub-committees. He has authored and edited articles and spoken on numerous wealth and tax advisory topics throughout his career.

Tim and his wife reside in Smyrna, Georgia, where they are actively involved in youth sports, scouting, church, and school activities in support of their three children. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, and fishing, and is an avid collegiate and professional sports fan.
