Lauren Vick Burthey is a Director in the HB Family Office practice. She joined Homrich Berg in 2023 and is an experienced wealth advisor who works closely with institutional families in creating a legacy and ensuring their goals and intentions for their wealth are addressed appropriately.
Prior to joining HB, Lauren served most recently as a Banker in the Atlanta Office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where she worked closely with ultra-high net worth families, endowments, and foundations advising across the entirety of their balance sheet, supporting their investment management, credit, banking, and estate planning needs. With an affinity for impact, Lauren worked closely with philanthropic families and corporate responsibility initiatives such as Advancing Black Pathways and Women on the Move. She played an instrumental role in the development and launch of Diverse Wealth Initiatives, the Private Bank’s national effort around diverse client experience and talent strategy. Lauren brings a wide range of expertise to the firm, having held roles in marketing, consulting, and talent. She began her career with roles at The Princeton Review and The Wharton School of Business before transitioning to professional services with Towers Watson and McKinsey & Company.
Lauren currently serves on the National Advisory Council of the A Better Chance Foundation, an organization that supports diverse youth access to private boarding and day schools. She is also a member of Atlanta’s Young Women Leaders Forum (YWLF) and an active alumnus of The Lawrenceville School.
She received a B.A. in English and Cognitive Science from the University of Pennsylvania. She holds an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where she was the Co-President of the Association of Women in Business, a Forté Fellow, and CASE Fellow.
Lauren lives in North Druid Hills with her husband, Gaston, and toddler son, Lander.
