Patrick joined Homrich Berg in 2014 and is a Principal of the firm, providing advice in the areas of investment management, retirement planning, risk management, income tax, and estate planning. Serving a broad array of clients with a specific focus on corporate executives, law partners, doctors, and retirees, he has substantial experience with executive compensation, concentrated stock positions, private investments, charitable planning, and income tax planning. Patrick implements personalized investment strategies, incorporating private placement investments, equity derivatives, and fixed-income strategies into clients’ portfolios when appropriate.

In addition to ongoing client work, Patrick leads the firm’s Property/Casualty Insurance practice groups and previously served as a subject matter expert within the firm for Medicare and Health Insurance.

Before joining HB, Patrick worked for two independent financial planning firms developing customized financial plans, preparing income tax returns, and handling estate planning and administration issues for high-net-worth families. He earned a bachelor’s degree in financial planning from Virginia Tech and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Patrick also earned a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning and maintains the Master Planner Advanced Studies (MPAS®) designation, a graduate-level credential focused on research-based applications for current practitioners.

Patrick is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and has volunteered with the CFP® Board to help with numerous pro-bono financial advocacy and consumer protection outreach campaigns.
