Amy is a Principal in the HB Family Office division.  She is an advisor to ultra-high net worth families and family offices and is responsible for a wide variety of their wealth management needs. Amy customizes her advice based on lifestyle needs and legacy objectives, focusing on both the family as a whole and its individual members.  She focuses on estate and gift planning, tax planning, financial planning, philanthropy, risk management and family governance.

Amy’s interest in planning began at law school, and she earned the outstanding tax student designation at the University of Virginia in 1997.  She then received her LL.M. in taxation from the University of Florida, and settled in Naples, Florida to begin her career as an estate planning attorney.  As an attorney, Amy advised clients on estates and trusts, tax planning, business success planning, asset protection, entity selection and planned giving.  She became a partner in the trusts and estates department of Fowler White Boggs Banker in 2004, and was chosen as one of Gulfshore Business’ 40 Under 40 that same year.

Amy became a Senior Wealth Strategist for the Private Bank of Bank of America in 2006, and continued that role with Hawthorn PNC Family Wealth and GenSpring SunTrust Private Wealth until joining Homrich Berg in 2021.  As a Wealth Strategist, she appreciated the mandate to expand beyond traditional legal advice as well as the time she could take to help her clients truly understand their planning opportunities. She found that clients who worked with her to develop this understanding were better able to communicate their objectives to their advisory team and then implement a truly optimal plan.

Amy is a member of the Florida Bar Association (Real Property and Probate and Tax sections), and has contributed to several publications, as an author and editor, on various planning topics.

She is a supporter of the American Red Cross, Children’s Home Society, Friends of Foster Children, and the Naples International Film Festival.  Her time away from work is spent in Naples with her husband, Blake, and their dogs, or traveling to visit their family and friends, music festivals, ski resorts, wineries, and other fun destinations.
